Martín and Eduardo Eurnekian, together with the President, inaugurated the new terminal at Ezeiza airport
President of Corporacion America Airports Eduardo Eurnekian and Executive Director Martin Eurnekian celebrated inauguration of the new terminal of Ezeiza International Airport with the President of Argentina Alberto Fernandez.
Ezeiza International Airport, serving Buenos Aires, is operating a new terminal since April 17, with the capacity to serve up to 30 million passengers per year, which will bear the title of the most modern airport in South America, 100% powered by renewable energy.
"I want this inauguration to be our pride, to know that Argentinian entrepreneurs did it and that the State was supporting it,” said the president of Argentina.
The new terminal has more than 50,000 square meters area with more than 150 check-in counters, 72 self-service machines, 36 cabins of the border guard service, which will ensure document checks of 2,400 passengers per hour. The new parking lot can hold up to 7,000 cars.
"We are witnessing one of the most important works in the history of Argentina's infrastructure and an important event in the airport industry. This work is a symbol of our commitment to the country and to the modernization of the 35 airports operating in Argentina, a beacon, that has guided us since we took over the management of the concession exactly 25 years ago," said Martin Eurnekian.
The event was also attended by Minister of Transport of Argentina, Mayor of Ezeiza, Head of Civil Aviation of Argentina and other officials.
