Ambassador of France in Armenia visited Zvartnots International Airport
Today, March 31st, Ambassador of France to Armenia Olivier Decottignies together with Marcelo Wende, director of Zvartnots International Airport, made a tour in the airport terminal.
Marcelo Wende introduced the Ambassador the works addressed to modernization of the airport carried out recently, in particular, the new systems (face recognition system for airport staff, passenger e-gates) in the Departure Hall of the airport, installed by French IDEMIA Smart Identity. The company is a part of the consortium participating in the public-private partnership (PPP) project for the issuance of biometric passports and identification cards in the Republic of Armenia and installation of these systems aims to facilitate the processes of border-crossing.
During the meeting issues related to ongoing and upcoming works have been covered as well.
